The following contains spoilers for Green Lantern: Beware My Power, now available on home video.

In Green Lantern: Beware My Power, John Stewart found himself filling big shoes after Hal Jordan went missing. It turns out the Green Lantern Corps had been destroyed on Oa, which led to John, Green Arrow, Hawkgirl and Adam Strange investigating more and uncovering a dark conspiracy involving Sinestro. The villain was pitting Rann and Thanagar against each other, but in the finale, the true villain of the story was revealed to be Parallax. The being possessed Hal and schemed to get control of Rann's 'Death Star,' but, thankfully, the heroes saved the day. However, with so many moving parts and a big cast intertwined in John's altruistic debut, Green Lantern: Beware My Power was bound to have some plot holes and unanswered questions.

Where Did the Zeta Beam Go?

Green Lantern: Beware My Power 2 can bring other Corps in

Rann used the Zeta beam meant to connect it to Thanagar, converting it to a death beam. Before dying, Parallax gained control and sent the Zeta beam out to destroy both planets from Rann's 'Death Star.' However, due to his metagene, Adam flew out and got the beam to follow him through a portal. But Green Lantern: Beware My Power never shows where they jumped to, if Adam died, or what was destroyed in the subsequent explosion. It was a heroic sacrifice but, admittedly, kept things very vague.

What Happened to Adam and His Family?

Adam Strange died in Green Lantern: Beware My Power

Adam explained that he lost Alanna and his family in the finale, but Green Lantern: Beware My Power never confirmed what happened. It had to have happened before the war broke out because when it did, he was lost in space. Seeing as the Zeta beam followed him through a portal, this might set up a spinoff story in which Adam finds his beloved and regains what he lost. This could also explain why he could harness the Zeta Force and get lopped around space and time in the first place.

Why Didn't Sinestro Destroy Hal's Ring?

Sinestro died in Green Lantern: Beware My Power

As Parallax, Hal made Sinestro his puppet, working a scheme to lure John in. However, after it became clear Hal's ring only responded to John, Sinestro had a couple of chances to destroy the ring. Yet, for some reason, he tried to keep it in storage the first time and then ignored the opportunity to smash it a second time when he scrapped with John. This would have taken out their newest and biggest enemy while preventing John from summoning it to smash through Sinestro's heart.

How Did Hal Control the GLC Rings?

Hal died in Green Lantern: Beware My Power

While his ring didn't respond, Hal/Parallax had some other rings he got when he and Sinestro rained yellow arrows down on Oa. This color weakened the GLC, per the old comics, allowing them to slay the Corps and destroy the central battery. However, it's never explained why the rings remained active or how Hal secretly kept them on his fingers. The Fear Entity corrupted him, so they should have sought other bearers out, like his did with John, died from lack of charge, or refused to attach to such a vile being.

What Happened to Parallax Before and After Hal's Death?

Hal Jordan became Parallax in Green Lantern: Beware My Power

Ollie shot Hal through the heart in his Parallax form, killing him in the final act. However, Green Lantern: Beware My Power didn't reveal what happened to Parallax. It's assumed to be dead, but seeing as Hal was just a vessel, it might have burrowed out and escaped for a sequel. The film also didn't show how Sinestro found it or why he didn't try to use its power himself, especially as he seemingly created the yellow rings from it.

Why Did Hal Need the Zeta Blaster?

Hal Jordan became Parallax in Green Lantern: Beware My Power

Hal had the powers of a god in his Parallax form, so there's no reason he needed the Zeta Blaster. While this beam could blow planets up, it was still tech the Justice League and such could have taken out. Instead, Hal could have gone on the warpath himself, per the Zero Hour comic. He even could have kept adding recruits to Sinestro's Yellow Lanterns, spreading his army across the cosmos now that the GLC was gone.

Why Did Sinestro Try to Escape Parallax?

Green Lantern Beware My Power (1)

Sinestro thought Parallax would be his minion when he put it in Hal's body, but Parallax ended up usurping Sinestro when they got to Oa. Sinestro grew scared at its power and tried to flee, but this made no sense when reconciled with Hal's words. Hal said Sinestro willingly became his acolyte, yet the flashbacks had Sinestro trying to fly off, only to be held against his will. Also, Sinestro shouldn't have fled, as he finally got the WMD he needed to reshape the galaxy.

How Could Hal Predict The Entire Plot

Hal Jordan became Parallax in Green Lantern: Beware My Power

John's crew got imprisoned by Sinestro midway through Green Lantern: Beware My Power, only to escape with Hal and get to the Rann Space Station. However, this required Hal to predict they'd band together, come for him and also know where the vessel was. Locating the spot only happened due to Adam returning from being lost. Hal also would have had to predict Rann would turn the beam into a Death Star in the first place. That's a lot of assumptions to make, especially since Hal had no idea John got his ring. Hal planning for heroes to find him and take him to the beam was very ridiculous and felt like a massive creative oversight.

Why Was Lyssa Drak the Only Yellow Lantern Powered Up?

Lyssa Drak was a Yellow Lantern in Green Lantern: Beware My Power

Sinestro's Yellow Lanterns weren't that impressive, with only Lyssa Drak showing abilities in terms of making yellow energy constructs. The other goons used guns, blades and other normal weapons, but they did rock yellow on their garb, suggesting this was indeed Sinestro's corps. Green Lantern: Beware My Power kept it obscure, however, why they all weren't powered up like in the comics, which would have given Sinestro much-needed aid.

Where Was the Justice League?

Green Lantern Beware My Power DC

When Ollie saw Oa was destroyed, he could have sent a beacon out to get the League involved. That's completely omitted, plus Green Lantern: Beware My Power never clarified what mission Superman, Batman, Flash and co. were on early in the movie. Martian Manhunter and Vixen stayed back to protect the Watchtower, so word could have at least been sent back to them to round up troops or come help out, as the Watchtower did have defense mechanisms.

Green Lantern: Beware My Power is now available on Blu-ray/4K UHD and digital HD.
