Looks like Graeme was right — Green Lantern is already in its second movie.
Still a year away from release, Warner Bros. already wants more Green Lantern, hiring the film's writing team of Greg Berlanti, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim to pen a treatment for the sequel. Additionally, Berlanti, Green and Guggenheim have been hired to write the treatment for The Flash, previously revealed to be inching closer to a green light.
Under the current deal, the trio would write a screenplay based on one of the treatments, though the project has yet to be determined.
The film version of The Flash will reportedly use DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns' recent work on the title as a model, with Barry Allen set to play the central role — not Wally West. Although nothing is confirmed at this time, the hiring of Berlanti as one of the film's treatment writers adds further support to rumors that he's the studio's first choice to direct The Flash.
