The following contains major spoilers for Green Arrow #2 from DC Comics.

Oliver Queen reveals Batman and The Flash helped him design a device so that he's always fully stocked with weapons and supplies in case of an emergency in DC's Green Arrow #2.

Green Arrow #2 comes from writer Joshua Williamson, artist Sean Izaakse, colorist Romulo Fajardo Jr. and letterer Troy Peteri. In the series, Oliver has become stranded on a cosmic planet following his "death" in Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths. While Roy Harper/Arsenal and Black Canary have been trying to locate Oliver back on Prime Earth, Green Arrow unexpectedly found himself in the company of Roy's daughter, Lian Harper, at the end of the previous issue when she, too, was mysteriously transported to the cosmic island.

Green Arrow explains to Lian Harper that Batman and Flash designed a device to store equipment in his quiver.

In Green Arrow #2, Oliver takes Lian back to the tree house he built on the island to live in for the time being. With the hideout being equipped with copious amounts of supplies and other amenities, Oliver explains to Lian he's always ready for a situation such as the one he's found himself in thanks to some other Justice League members. "I've been stranded enough times that I know how to build a treehouse," he explains. "But a few years ago, I talked Batman and Flash into building me a better back-up. A compressed tech that's stashed in the bottom piece of my quiver."

Why Can't Green Arrow Go Home?

Oliver explains to Lian that time on the cosmic planet they're now both trapped on works differently than on Earth, meaning he's not entirely sure how long he's been trapped but estimates it's been at least a couple of weeks. He proceeds to tell Lian that the two of them can't go home; although, he won't explain his reasoning as to why. "It's for the best," he says. "It's dangerous for our families to ever be together. It's why no matter what I do in this life...I'm always stranded."

Near the end of Green Arrow #2, Oliver and Lian suddenly find themselves being transported somewhere else, though the location remains a mystery at this time. The story continues in Green Arrow #3, which releases on June 27. The synopsis for the issue reads, "Arsenal and Black Canary versus Peacemaker and the new Peacewrecker! While Arsenal and Black Canary’s quest for answers has sent them into danger, Green Arrow is lost in time and space—but at least he’s not alone now. Two members of the Green Arrow family join Oliver Queen in the last place you’d expect!"

Green Arrow #2 features cover art by Izaakse and Fajardo Jr. and variant cover art by David Nakayama and Ejikure. The issue is on sale now from DC.
