With a new creative team prepared to take over the main Batman comic book series next month, DC Comics has released inked and colored preview art from the team's first issue, teasing a villainous team-up against the Dark Knight.

Fresh off the heels of showing black and white preview pages from next month's Batman #86, which marks the start of James Tynion IV's run as the series writer, DC has released new art from the issue, with Tomeu Morey's colors over Tony Daniel's pencils and Danny Miki's inks. The cover and preview pages, featuring Teen Titans assassin Cheshire and Green Arrow's longtime enemy Merlyn among a gathering of Gotham City's villains, along with the advance solicitation information are below.

Tom King's three-year tenure on the main Batman series comes to an end this month in Batman #85, an issue that also sees Tynion IV write an epilogue to the issue setting up his run. While Bane's plan to break the Batman may end in defeat, it appears that Tynion IV's run will deal with the immediate fallout of the coming climactic battle for Gotham.
