The following contains spoilers for DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #3, on sale now from DC Comics.

Green Arrow/Oliver Queen gets a godly upgrade in DC's zombie saga after he receives the bow and quiver of Apollo.

DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #3 comes from writer Tom Taylor, penciled Trevor Hairsine, inker Andy Lanning, colorist Rain Beredo and letterer Saida Temofonte. In the issue, a number of the heroes who have come together to fight the ongoing zombie war gather to give Diana Prince/Wonder Woman a proper funeral. Diana initially fought alongside the heroes when Darkseid first came to Earth to kidnap Cyborg in an effort to unlock the Anti-Life equation; however, Darkseid's plan saw the Anti-Life equation become corrupted as it started turning people into zombie-like creatures, including Wonder Woman.

Green Arrow Just Got a God-Level Power-Up

While Diana's funeral is attended by a number of expected guests, Ares also makes a surprising appearance. He tells Hippolyta he didn't come to cause any kind of trouble; rather, he brings a warning. Ares then transports Oliver, Dinah Lance (who has become a new hero called Green Canary after she killed an infected Hal Jordan and inherits his Green Lantern Ring) and a number of others to the Hall of Gods. Within seconds, Oliver eyes Apollo's golden bow and quiver, which Ares says he can have. "You will need every weapon at your disposal for what is to come," the God of War says. Oliver picks up the weapon, notices something is off and asks if he can "tweak" it. "Can you 'tweak' the golden bow of Apollo?" Ares bellows. "A bow that hunted the great beasts of Karkoom, that slew the Leviathan Lion?" When Green Arrow points out its a bit top-heavy, Ares responds, "Fine...you can tweak it."

Green Arrow's New Weapon Will Likely Come in Handy

Ares proceeds to lead the heroes through the Hall of Gods before he delivers his message: the universe is ending. To prove his point, Ares pulls out records from a separate universe that also had to fight a corrupted Anti-Life equation. "This is a record from a universe that was lost," he explains. Ares further reveals Darkseid and corrupted the Anti-Life equation are really just pawns in a much larger game and the true enemy behind the universe's end is none other than Erebos, the personification of darkness in Greek mythology.
