The status of the CW's Green Arrow and the Canaries has long been up in the air. The backdoor pilot for the planned series was one of the penultimate episodes for the Arrowverse's inaugural show, giving many fans a sense that Oliver Queen's legacy would live on in the network even without Stephen Amell. This won't be the case, however, as, after a period of rather mum silence, it's finally been confirmed that the series was passed over by both The CW and HBO Max.

Despite this disappointing news, there's still a chance that this isn't the end for Dinah Drake, Laurel Lance or Mia Queen. The characters and the plot points that they were meant to be involved in could briefly be concluded in episodes of other Arrowverse shows. Through the shenanigans of time-travel and the legacy of Oliver Queen, Green Arrow and the Canaries could finish their stories in these TV series.

Legends of Tomorrow

The most obvious place to complete the planned show's suggested storyline and feature the characters one last time is on Legends of Tomorrow. This time-traveling show has been to all sorts of different epochs, including an alternate future for Green Arrow and Star City. Thus, having the Legends assist Green Arrow and the Canaries in a multi-episode storyline could organically wrap up those characters' stories.

The biggest problem with devoting multiple episodes to this might be in Legends' shorter season length, and tying the planned storyline of Green Arrow and the Canaries into one of these short seasons might not leave much breathing room. Despite this, it's easily the best bet at seeing Mia Queen and the older Canaries one last time in the Arrowverse.

Supergirl

Another show with sometimes futuristic ambitions is Supergirl. This stems from the Girl of Steel's adventures with the futuristic Legion of Superheroes, who are inspired by the heroes of the past. Thus, a storyline involving a disturbance in the past could see Kara and the Legionnaires hop into Star City's future to help Green Arrow and the Canaries save it.

There are several pitfalls that keep this from happening, however. For one, the Legion's future is far beyond the future seen in Green Arrow and the Canaries' pilot, so it's not exactly a perfect fit. Likewise, Supergirl, Superman and the Legion really have nothing to do with Green Arrow or his daughter, making this potential crossover a bit forced, even on paper. There's also the fact that Supergirl is soon coming to its own end, so squeezing this into its final season just won't work.

The Flash

Besides Legends, the next best place for Arrow's story to truly finish is on The Flash. This series was the first spinoff of Arrow, with the Flash and Green Arrow essentially being the Arrowverse's equivalent of both The Brave and the Bold and the World's Finest. Thus, it would only make sense that the show that birthed The Flash see its conclusion on his series.

The Flash also has time travel aspects in its storyline, making such a plot point organic. As mentioned, the Flash would have the most connection to Green Arrow and Oliver Queen as a person, so doing one last favor in his fallen friend's memory would make for poignant television. It helps that the Arrowverse as a whole is in its waning years in many fans eyes, so this sort of bookending could act as a conclusive finish in some ways.

The Flash also has the longer season run that Arrow had, so it would have room to fit this plot point in for a few episodes or so. It's also the Arrowverse show with the brightest future in terms of staying on air, so it could close a chapter on the old phase of the universe while looking forward to its still tentative future. Though the network may not have been able to save Green Arrow and the Canaries, perhaps the Scarlet Speedster or some other heroes could help them save their city one last time.
