It occurs to me that it seems like many comic book covers are homages. Which is fine with me. I have no problem with it. It just made me think, though, how long could I go before I hit a week where NO new comic book was released that had a cover that was an homage to something? The streak began on September 27, 2012. We last checked in on the streak in early February. New comics will be going on a temporary hiatus due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus crisis, so the streak will be on a break, as well...if it MADE it to last week, that is!

Week 386 was Amelia Vidal's cover for Go Go Power Rangers #29, homaging the album cover for Bjork's Post.

Week 387 was Ken Haeser's cover for Death to the Army of Darkness #1, homaging Kevin Maguire's cover for Justice League #1.

Week 388 was Scott Van Domelen's cover for Midnight Sky #5, homaging the movie poster for John Carpenter's The Thing.

Week 389 was Ken Haeser's cover for Kiss: Zombie #4, homaging Johnny Craig's cover for Crime SuspenStories #22.

Week 390 was Marat Michaels's cover forLady Death: Apocalyptic Abyss #1, homaging Joe Shuster's cover for Action Comics #1.

Week 391 was Ben Oliver's cover for DCeased: Unkillables #2, homaging the movie poster for Full Metal Jacket.

Week 392 was Jim Lee and Scott Williams' cover for Robin 80th Anniversary Special, homaging Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson's cover for Detective Comics #38.

Hopefully new comics pop up again soon, so we can see if the great comic book homage streak continues!
