DC has revealed the first look at Green Lantern: Blackstars #2 by writer Gran Morrison, artist Xermanico and colorist Steve Oliff, which introduces a cruel portrayal of Superman by Morrison.
"It's my cruelest portrayal of Superman that I've ever done, that makes him out to be the worst he can possibly be," Morrison said in a statement. "I'm hoping people will really dig it, because it's almost a roast of modern comics, including my own."
The issue also features the return of the Cosmic Vampire Princess Countess Belzebeth. Created by Morrison and Liam Sharp, the Countess Belzebeth first debuted in The Green Lantern #4. Green Lantern: Blackstars is a sequel to the comic starring Hal Jordan.
Below you can find Xermanico's pages for Green Lantern: Blackstars #2 alongside colored pages by Oliff, as well as Liam Sharp’s triptych covers for issues #1-3.
