USA has given a straight-to-series order to the upcoming television adaptation of Brave New World. The novel, written by Aldous Huxley, takes place in a futuristic utopia. When two curious explorers from New London decide to explore the "Savage Lands," they set off a chain of events that could lead to the end of the world as they know it. Deadline reports Brave New World's budget is rumored to be around $10 million an episode, with the show destined to headline NBCU's streaming service launching in 2020.

The series was initially pitched to Syfy, but the USA Network scooped up the series instead. Both companies are owned by Universal.
