The Flash's Grant Gustin Offers Up Another Look at His Season 5 Costume

Grant Gustin provides fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the new Flash costume in between filming.

Grant Gustin has provided fans with their best look yet at his new costume set to debut in Season 5 of The Flash.

Between filming night scenes for the upcoming fifth season, Gustin posted a behind-the-scenes photo of the new costume on his Instagram account.

Test photos had leaked earlier this week from The CW series revealing that the new season would see its eponymous superhero change to a more comic book-accurate version of his iconic scarlet uniform. While the new look certainly won over many fans, a vocal faction of online critics complained Gustin looked too skinny for the new suit leading the actor call them out for their body-shaming online.

With the Scarlet Speedster expected to take on new, recurring villains throughout the fifth season as well as deal with the earth-shattering revelation that he and wife Iris West-Allen's adult daughter Nora is trapped with them after time-traveling from the future, Central City's greatest hero at least has a fresh new look to take on his latest challenges.

The Flash returns Tuesday, October 9th on The CW and stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Hartley Sawyer, Danielle Nicolet, Tom Cavanagh, and Jesse L. Martin.
