Barry Allen has seen many updates to his costume over the course of The Flash's six seasons. From a red emblem and dark red suit to the form fitting, gold lined suit he sports currently, the suit -- like Barry himself -- is constantly evolving.

Grant Gustin, who plays Barry, has one more update he'd like to see. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Gustin was asked what was on his "Flash suit bucket list". Gustin answered, "Gold boots."

He went on to explain, comparing his current outfit to that of the comic book character, "We have the lightning at the top of the red boots -- that is kind of like the wing / lightning at the top -- but that's really the only thing we're missing for it to be... the complete comic book look." He added that all that is needed is "the suit that we have now essentially, but with boots to match the belt and then I feel like we're there."

In the comics, the Flash is known for sporting bright yellow boots with wings; although there have been several incarnations of the costume on the show, none of them have featured a comics-accurate pair of gold boots. Starting with Season 4, the boots of the costume featured gold lightning bolt around them, as Gustin noted. It is entirely possible that future episodes will bring the costume even closer to its comic-book counterpart in appearance.

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer.
