Pricing for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition reportedly leaked, revealing that the highly-anticipated collection may cost around $70 on modern hardware.

As noticed by @Vinewood_motors on Twitter, a recent listing for the game on UK-based retailer Base.com shows Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition as costing £60 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game, while the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions come in at roughly £70. Given international exchange rates and the pricing model for video games, this would mean that the collection of updated PlayStation 2 games should cost $60 for older generation consoles and $70 for current hardware. The pricing for the PC version of the game is still unknown.

While the inclusion of discounts may indicate a set-in-stone amount, it's possible that Base.com is merely attempting to predict the final retail price. Until official confirmation comes from Rockstar Games or publisher Take-Two Interactive, a grain of salt is recommended. At the time of writing, Base.com has altered the page so that pricing is only displayed for each game when it's selected from the store's catalog.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition will take three of the franchise's most beloved games and port them to modern systems. Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas are all expected to receive a substantial overhaul. When discussing the compilation, Rockstar Games said the games will feature, "across-the-board upgrades, including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles while still maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals." Despite this promise, little is known about what kind of improvements will be implemented.
