Rumors regarding the development of Grand Theft Auto VI have swirled for years, with many fans speculating that the series will be returning to Vice City, a location most recently featured in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition. Further reports suggest that the game will once again include multiple playable characters as well the franchise's first female protagonist. It will also make ample use of a constantly evolving and growing world, with some leakers comparing it to live-service games like Fortnite and Apex Legends. These same industry insiders also suggest that Grand Theft Auto VI is targeting a 2024-2025 release date. It's worth noting that none of these rumors have yet been confirmed.

While fans excitedly wait for the next chapter in the iconic open-world franchise, they can look forward to the looming release of Grand Theft Auto V on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. These revamped versions of the game included several significant overhauls, including 4K visuals, ray-tracing support and improvements to its textures and draw distance.

Players could also revisit the past with the aforementioned Definitive Edition of the classic PlayStation 2 games. While many gamers were eager to relive their favorite memories with these classic games, the bundle received widespread criticism upon its launch. Riddled with bugs, poor optimization and needless graphical changes, Rockstar has slowly been updating the game to fix its many problems.
