"Mad City", the third season of Fox's "Gotham", is well underway, and to mark the third-episode debut of the titularly mad villain, Jervis Tetch, (AKA, the Mad Hatter) the network has has released a promo designed to haunt your dreams. This is "Gotham," after all.

Amid the torrent of jump cuts that don't really offer many clues to the episode's plot, we have the foppish-looking hypnotist Tetch, played by Australian Benedict Samuel, spookily entreating us to "Look into My Eyes," which happens to be the episode's title.

"Gotham" Recap: a Slowed Down Showdown

As Tetch promises to "haunt your dreams like a ghost, for I know what you fear most," it's probably safe to say that his ethical standards as a stage performer might not be the highest you'll find, even by Gotham City standards, which surely can't be good for the city's residents.

Starring Ben McKenzie as James Gordon, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne and Sean Pertwee as Alfred, “Gotham” airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on Fox.
