Gotham Series Finale Will Reportedly Feature Major Bat-Family Member

While Gotham is taking a short break before airing its final set of episodes for the series, a new report sheds some light on the series finale.

Gotham's finale will take place after a time jump that brings the series a decade into its future. More interestingly, the future glimpse of Gotham City will reportedly include a major Batman ally: Barbara Gordon, Jim Gordon's daughter and the future Batgirl.

According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello, the series finale will feature "a 10-year-old Barbara Gordon, who of course is fated to follow in the bootsteps of Yvonne Craig and Alicia Silverstone."

In the course of the final season, Jim and ex-fiance Barbara Kean briefly reconnected, with Barbara recently giving birth to their daughter on the series. While it is unknown if this flash-forward Barbara will display any hints of her eventual crime-fighting career, her inclusion does help bridge Jim Gordon and Batman's legacies.
