Ahead of the premiere of The CW's Gotham Knights, showrunners Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux joined forces with series star Misha Collins to playfully troll DC fans by revealing an early "first look" at Collins' Two-Face makeup."I wasn't supposed to post this until AFTER the episodes [sic] airs, but wrath of [Warner Bros. TV] be damned -- I couldn't wait," Collins wrote on Twitter. In the attached video, Fiveash and Stoteraux introduce Collins, with the three discussing how great Collins looks as Two-Face. The catch is that half of Collins' face is blocked by a door, meaning anyone watching the video can't actually see the makeup.RELATED: Gotham Knights' Misha Collins Dishes on Harvey Dent's Descent Into Madness

In a similarly cheeky follow-up tweet, Collins wrote, "I'm getting a few complaints that some people couldn't see my full Two-Face look because the camera angle had accidentally partially obscured my face with a door, so here's an unobstructed view of me in the full makeup." In the attached photo, Collins is blocking half of his face with his hand, rendering only a very small portion of the makeup visible.

Misha Collins Is the Latest Actor to Play DC's Two-Face

It has long been known that Gotham Knights would star Supernatural alum Collins as DC's Harvey Dent, the Gotham district attorney destined to become the disfigured and nefarious Two-Face. The infamous Batman villain was originally created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, first appearing in 1942's Detective Comics #66. With the premiere of Gotham Knights tonight on The CW, Collins becomes the latest actor to play Harvey Dent/Two-Face in live-action.

A pre-disfigured Harvey Dent made his live-action debut in the 1989 film Batman, in which he was played by Billy Dee Williams. The character did not appear in the 1992 sequel, Batman Returns. Harvey Dent eventually did appear as the villainous Two-Face in the 1995 sequel/soft reboot Batman Forever. However, owing to the departure of director Tim Burton and an overall change in creative direction, the role was taken over by Tommy Lee Jones.

Years later, Aaron Eckhart played Harvey Dent/Two-Face in the 2008 film The Dark Knight, the second entry in director Christopher Nolan's trilogy that began with 2005's Batman Begins. As far as television is concerned, Nicholas D'Agosto later played Harvey Dent in the first two seasons of Fox's Gotham from 2014 to 2016. That said, D'Agosto's version of Harvey never actually underwent the transformation into Two-Face.

Batman Is Dead in Gotham Knights

Not to be confused with the 2022 video game of the same name, The CW's Gotham Knights enters on a group of teens who form an unlikely alliance after Batman is murdered and they are framed for the crime. The group consists of Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan), Bruce Wayne's adopted son; Duela Dent (Olivia Rose Keegan), the Joker's daughter; Harper Row (Fallon Smythe), aka Bluebird; and Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara), Harper's brother. They also join forces with Batman's sidekick, Carrie Kelley/Robin (Navia Robinson).

Gotham Knights premieres tonight, March 14, on The CW.
