Gotham Knights' latest trailer shines a spotlight on Nightwing and Red Hood.

The new gameplay footage provides fans with an extended look at Dick Grayson and Jason Todd as the pair patrol the streets of Gotham and dispatches a variety of foes. The trailer includes more details on the duo's unique abilities and combat skills, highlighting Nightwing's acrobatic flair and Red Hood's brutal efficiency with his dual pistols. The trailer also provided a demonstration of how both characters will traverse Gotham as Nightwing takes to the skies with a glider and Red Hood leaps from rooftops.

Developer Warner Bros. Games Montréal dropped the new trailer amid swirling speculation that Gotham Knights was drastically upgrading its promised co-op system. Upon its announcement, the open-world superhero game was confirmed to feature a two-play co-op mode which has seemingly been upped to four players following an update to the title's PlayStation Store page. This would mean that gamers could explore the crime-ridden city not only as Nightwing and Red Hood but also Barbara Gordon's Batgirl and Tim Drake's Robin. at the same time. Every member of the Bat-Family is equipped with unique skills that will allow for plenty of unique combinations in the heat of combat.

Gotham Knights is set after the untimely death of Bruce Wayne aka Batman. As the Caped Crusader's rogues gallery begins to rise up and reclaim the city, the Dark Knight entrusts his protégés with continuing his legacy. Players will need to patrol the city and fight back against criminals like Mister Freeze and The Penguin who are laying waste to the rain-soaked streets of Gotham.

While Warner Bros. Games Montréal has yet to reveal the game's full roster of villains, fans can look forward to the Court of Owls playing a key role in Gotham Knights' story. A shadowy group that has controlled the city for centuries, players will need to dismantle the organization while avoiding its deadly legion of brainwashed assassins known as Talons. Gotham Knights will feature several new forms of the warriors as the developers worked alongside creators Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo to expand on the Court's mythology.

Gotham Knights launches on Oct. 25 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Fans can expect more trailers and updates in the coming months.
