After a slew of recent cancelations, The CW has still not reached a verdict on the fate of both Superman & Lois and Gotham Knights.

During a press conference, per TVLine, The CW’s President of Entertainment, Brad Schwartz, provided a brief update promising fans that the network will share any developments the second they happen. Speaking on Superman & Lois, Gotham Knights and All American: Homecoming, all three of which currently face uncertain futures, Schwartz stated, "We love all [three] shows... We’ll be making decisions on those sooner than later." No further information was provided but fans should expect solid information in the coming days.

As the axe dangles atop both Gotham Knights and Superman & Lois, reports have suggested only one will remain. While these have yet to be verified, insiders have suggested that while the former is the cheapest DC show The CW has ever produced, the latter brings in a much larger viewership. The uncertainty around these titles comes at a time when the network is closing the curtain on its's long-running and wildly popular Arrowverse with The Flash Season 9 bringing the franchise to an end. While Superman & Lois has crossed over with the Scarlet Speedster's sub-franchise, it's technically within its own continuity given that it's set on a separate Earth.

The Fate of the DC Series Universe Hangs in the Balance

One star who's confident in Superman & Lois' chances is Wolé Parks, who plays John Henry Irons aka Steel. "Do I think we're going to get another season? Yes, if I had to put money on it, I do think we get one more season at least," Parks said. "But I don't know; again, it's out of my control. That's something where I just have to, as a person, just accept that life is very fluid."

The CW has recently been on what many fans are describing as a purge after canceling several of its scripted series. The network recently dropped the hammer on Kung Fu, Walker: Independence and The Winchesters, all of which boasted dedicated fanbases. The latter came as a shock to many given the nature of the series as a spinoff to one of The CW's most popular series of all time, Supernatural. Following the news that The Winchesters was not renewed for a second season, executive producer Jensen Ackles confirmed plans to start a fan campaign in the hopes of winning either a Season 2 or finding a new home for the show.
