Gotham Knights Episode 9 is setting up a major moment for Stephanie Brown.

Per the official synopsis released by The CW, the ninth episode of the hit series, titled "Belly of the Beast," will see Stephanie (Anna Lore) learn that "mom’s addiction is worse than she thought and turns to her father Arthur (guest star Ethan Embry) for help." Within the Batman mythos, Stephanie Brown's father is also known as Cluemaster, a serial criminal known for teasing law enforcement by leaving clues to aid them in his capture. Whether this specific angle of the character will be relayed in Episode 9 remains to be seen.

Beyond Stephanie's goal to save her mother, "Belly of the Beast" will also largely focus on Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan) and Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan) as they try to infiltrate the mysterious Court of Owls, the organization they believe could be behind Bruce Wayne's death. As for Harvey Dent (Misha Collins) a "lapse in time" leads Gotham's quickly splintering District Attorney to a startling discovery.

Set after Batman's mysterious demise, Gotham Knights follows a group of outcasts and recluses who are framed for the Caped Crusader's murder. In a desperate attempt to prove their innocence, they become fugitives and begin to unravel the seedy underbelly of Gotham, making enemies with a shadowy organization that has been pulling the city's strings for centuries.

Two-Face Will Rise

Gotham Knights' major claim to fame is the inclusion of Collins in his first starring role since the conclusion of Supernatural in 2020. Playing the iconic Batman villain Harvey Dent, fans have witnessed the character slowly come apart over the course of the series, leading up to his eventual transformation into Two-Face. For his part, Collins has expressed nothing but excitement about the role, although he was initially hesitant to join the project.

"I was like, 'Yes I want to do this, but my kids are in Southern California, [and] the show is shooting on the East Coast.' I was like, 'Wait a minute, I can’t be away from my kids that much,'" Collins recalled. "And so I was talking to my kids like, 'kids there’s this awesome role I really want to do, but I'm going to be away a lot. I’ll be playing Harvey Dent who becomes Two-Face.' And my son was like, 'Do it!' 'But wait, I'll be away a lot, I won't see you as much.' He was like, 'I don’t care, do it.'"

Gotham Knights airs new episodes every Tuesday on The CW.
