A previously unseen Gotham Knights clip just dropped that features Harvey Dent (Misha Collins) investigating the Court of Owls.

The clip comes via Entertainment Weekly and showcases a scene between Dent and Bruce Wayne's adopted son, Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan). The mood in the scene is tense, as the district attorney explains to Turner that he is the prime suspect for his father's murder. Dent also produces a mysterious object found on Wayne's body: a "sixth-century Athenian coin" bearing an owl emblem. While Tyler claims not to know the coin's significance, DC Comics readers will recognize it as a reference to the Court of Owls. Created by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, the Court of Owls is a malevolent secret society at odds with Batman and his allies. It's currently unclear how large a role the Court of Owls will play in Gotham Knights, however, the criminal organization is clearly implicated in the show's overarching conspiracy narrative.

Fans have other Bat-villains to look forward to in future episodes of Gotham Knights, as well. Collins continues to talk up Harvey Dent's eventual transformation into Two-Face, although he previously stated that this won't happen until the CW show's second season. "I have a nice long stretch of not being two-faced," he explained. "And then I become Two-Face! Yeah, I'm looking forward to it." Collins later said that Dent will serve as "the moral compass" of Gotham Knights until he suffers the same tragic fate as his DC Comics counterpart.

Gotham Knights Actor Reunites with Supernatural Co-Stars

Whether fans actually get to witness Collins' portrayal of Two-Face hinges on Gotham Knights securing a Season 2 order. For that to happen, the superhero show's first season will need to build an audience, and Collins is certainly doing his part to drum up interest in the show. The star recently recruited his former Supernatural co-stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki to film a video promoting Gotham Knights, which he shared on Twitter.

Collins will no doubt hope that the goodwill generated by the video of Ackles and Padelecki is able to counteract the critical buzz surrounding Gotham Knights' first six installments. Early reviews for Gotham Knights Episodes 1 to 6 were mixed at best, with the show's story and characters singled out for particular criticism. That said, several critics also noted that Gotham Knights improved as it went along, with one reviewer labeling the series "a fun ride" despite its various shortcomings.

Gotham Knights premieres on The CW on March 14, 2023.
