Gotham's Cameron Monaghan Shares Terrifying Jeremiah Photo

Apparently, the darkness in Gotham has a smile, as actor Cameron Monaghan shared a sinister photo of his character Jeremiah Valeska from the fifth and final season of the Batman prequel series.

Monaghan has enjoyed his time as a pseudo-Joker during Gotham’s four previous seasons, first as Jeremiah’s twin brother Jerome, who eventually passed on his legacy of madness and anarchy to his brother Jeremiah. Jeremiah sought to overcome his brother’s reputation as he masterminded the events that lead to Gotham’s current "No Man’s Land" status, which has granted him additional infamy within the remaining criminal underworld.

Currently, Jerome has been enjoying his new status along with a new girlfriend, but his happiness is obstructed by his relationship with Bruce Wayne, portrayed by actor David  Mazouz. “Because Jeremiah is such an obsessive personality, it's this relationship that's driving him and he's building this very, very elaborate plan to try to turn Bruce into his way of thinking," Monaghan said in a recent interview. “I think he's doing it because he has this weird, twisted love for him. He has this strange admiration, and I think it's Jeremiah's last handhold into humanity and vulnerability is his relationship with Bruce.”

Monaghan previously teased that the upcoming episode "ACE Chemicals" will feature the iconic chemical plant from the comics, but also focus on the life-changing showdown between Bruce and Jeremiah that would entwine their lives forever as Batman and The Joker. “I mean it’s obviously a huge landmark within the mythos and it is relating to Jeremiah," Monaghan said while still remaining tight-lipped on the details of what happens.
