Batman (Finally) Arrives in New Gotham Season 5 Promo

Batman makes his long-awaited debut in the latest promo for the fifth and final season of Fox’s Gotham. It's a fleeting, steam-obscured glimpse, but it's undeniably the Dark Knight.

As the drama enters its final stretch, Gotham has been declared a No Man’s Land, with the criminals we’ve watched develop over the past four seasons fight for territory. As Jim Gordon and any remaining police officers fight to restore order by any means necessary, Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham, ready to embrace his role as the city's guardian.

“You’re not the same, and you’ve got to respect that” Alfred’s Sean Pertwee quotes as the promo foretells the Dark Knight is coming as the whirlwind of destruction and anarchy ends with a familiar cape and cowl silhouette running through smoke.

Airing Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox, Gotham stars Ben McKenzie as James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Robin Lord Taylor as Penguin, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean and Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth.
