Croatian born comic artist Goran Parlov has shared his first piece of artwork online since suffering a stroke back in 2019.

On May 31, Parlov posted the new drawing to Twitter. The image features Marvel's Nick Fury standing in a slightly ruffled room with a cigar hanging from his lips and a gun in his right hand. Behind him, Shirley Defabio sits on the bed in a black lace nightie, holding a gun of her own over her crossed legs.

"And after more than 7 months, proud to post the first new drawing," Parlov said in his tweet, adding that the piece was "Majestically colored by Giada Marchisio." Fans responded with messages praising the art, celebrating his return and expressing their happiness over his recovery.

In late October 2019, Parlov was hospitalized after suffering a stroke. He was in the hospital for 10 days before he was able to get online and provide an update on his absence and condition. He kept his followers updated on his journey to recovery, and apologized for having to cancel an appearance in the Canary Islands and delay his work on Get Fury.

In addition to Get Fury, Parlov is well known for his work on Y: The Last Man and Punisher Max. He has also contributed his artistry to comics featuring other popular Marvel characters such as Black Widow and Spider-Man.
