Google has awakened the Force, and it wants you to do the same with a new website celebrating "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Users can visit Google.com/StarWars and choose a side, the Light Side or the Dark Side (the latter is apparently winning), after which your Google apps will change to reflect your path: Either an X-wing or a TIE Fighter appears on Google Maps to show your location, different backgrounds show up on your Gmail page, and so on.

Google promises that's only the beginning: "We've got more coming between now and opening night—the Millennium Falcon in all its (virtual reality) glory included, so stay tuned. And we've hidden a few Easter eggs, too."

Directed by J.J. Abrams, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens Dec. 18 in North America.
