CBR can exclusively reveal a behind-the-scenes clip of Jameela Jamil and Manny Jacinto recording their parts in Marigold Breach, a new podcast from Realm.

The clip, which you can see below, opens with Jamil -- who plays Ven in the project -- expressing her excitement about work she's done on the podcast. The clip then transitions into Jacinto's Lucan talking with Ven prior to the crash that leads to the main story of the project. In the footage, Ven tries to keep Lucan alive despite the incoming fatal crash, opting to preserve his memory to keep him alive.

The plot synopsis for Marigold Breach reads, "Lucan (Jacinto) has crash landed on a mysterious planet and only remembers his name, his rank, and that Ven (Jamil)—the wry AI implant speaking to him inside his mind—is the only thing keeping him alive. As they search for answers about where they came from, they confront dangerous forces that threaten the safety of the planet's civilians. But the most urgent threat of all lurks in the recesses of Lucan's mind, kept hidden by Ven—if she were to reveal it, their relationship would change forever."

Jacinto and Jamil previously starred together on NBC's The Good Place as Jason Mendoza and Tahani Al-Jamil, respectively. Created by The Office's Michael Schur, that show ran for four seasons between 2016 and 2020 and followed a group of humans who seemingly end up in the Good Place, which is essentially Heaven. However, over the course of the series, they discover all is not what it seems and set out to completely overhaul the afterlife. The Good Place was extremely well received and nominated for a number of Primetime Emmy Awards.

For her part, Jamil has also served as the host of Legendary, a competition show focusing on ball culture. Jamil is also slated to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe later this year when She-Hulk roles around. She'll play Titania in that project.
