In partnership with Renegade Game Studios, Amazon Studios’ hit series adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s novel Good Omens is receiving its own tie-in card game.

Based on the first season of the fantasy comedy, Renegade’s newest tabletop game called Good Omens: An Ineffable Game is scheduled to launch on June 5, 2023, for a suggested retail price of $25. Designed by Matt Hyra, it will be sold in three versions, each with its own unique box art and bonus items including 12 foil versions of the character cards for the Amazon version, a Heaven & Hell-themed black and silver embroidered Good Omens dice bag for the Barnes & Noble version and an Agnes Nutter Book of Prophecies-themed dice bag for the Hobby Market exclusive. All versions are expected to feature the same gameplay and mechanics.

Good Omens: An Ineffable Game will task fans with defeating the "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Fight Heaven, Vanquish Hell, and even prevent Armageddon." In order to complete their mission, players must go through seven cooperative battle games with different levels of difficulty. Even though each chapter is described as "easy to learn," Renegade Game Studios promises that each battle will be a stimulating endeavor for any group of players. During the game, they will call upon Good Omens characters to help them succeed in each challenge; more information on the characters will likely be revealed closer to the game's launch.

Even More Good Omens

"Good Omens: An Ineffable Game promises to bring the world of Good Omens to life in an exciting new way" said Jamie Kampel, Head of Licensing & Merchandising for Amazon Studios, "We are thrilled to be creating this game in collaboration with a well-known board game publisher like Renegade, who is passionate about the property and has adeptly captured the tone and details of the series in a way that will delight fans."

Unlike the first installment, Good Omens Season 2 isn’t based on an existing novel but will instead be an original story from Gaiman. It features the return of Michael Sheen and David Tennant, who are reprising their roles as unlikely best friends angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley, respectively. After successfully stopping Armageddon from upending their comfortable lives on Earth, the bizarre duo will be facing a new challenge, as they suddenly find themselves embroiled in a surprising mystery for the next installment.

Even though Season 2 isn’t affected by the Writers Guild of America strike, Gaiman confirmed that he won’t be able to participate in the latest season’s promotions. In support of the movement, the Good Omens creator was recently seen picketing outside of NBCUniversal's upfront presentation venue with other WGA members.

Good Omens Season 2 premieres on July 28, exclusively on Prime Video.
