Prime Video shared the updated title sequence for Season 2 of Good Omens. The intro was shared to both YouTube and Twitter with the message "A special gift, because you all have been oh so patient with us." Like the first season's title sequence, the clip is a surreal mash-up of animation styles blending physical props, 3D imagery and live-action motion, all scored by David Arnold. It follows the demon Crowley (David Tennant) and the angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) as they travel through various locales, including a war-torn London, the depths of Hell and outer space. It also confirms the title of the premiere episode will be "Chapter 1: The Arrival."RELATED: Neil Gaiman, Amazon Collaborate on Good Omens Musical Parody

Good Omens Returns for a New Season

Season 2 of Good Omens was first announced in June 2021, with showrunner (and co-author of the original book) Neil Gaiman returning to pen the series alongside John Finnemore. Gaiman has said and Terry Pratchett always wanted to expand the story of their 1990 novel, but were unable to do so together before the latter's passing in 2015. "There are so many questions people have asked about what happened next (and also, what happened before) to our favourite Angel and Demon," Gaiman said. "Here are the answers you've been hoping for. We are back in Soho, and all through time and space, solving a mystery, which starts with an angel wandering through Soho, with no memory."

In addition to Tennant and Sheen, Season 2 will star Miranda Richardson, Nina Sosanya, Maggie Service, Shelley Conn, Doon Mackichan, Quelin Sepulveda, Liz Carr, Gloria Obianyo and Jon Hamm. While many of the actors appeared in the first season of Good Omens, Gaiman has said some may take on new roles in the second. Additionally, Douglas MacKinnon is returning to direct all six episodes of the season.

In addition to a new season, Good Omens will expand with its own tabletop game designed by Matt Hyra and launching June 5, just ahead of the Season 2 premiere. Gaiman has also announced the launch of a Kickstarter to fund a Good Omens graphic novel adaptation with art by frequent collaborator Colleen Doran. He has also stated that if the series gets a Season 3, it will be based off plans Gaiman and Pratchett had for a sequel to the original novel.

Good Omens Season 2 premieres July 28 on Prime Video.
