To celebrate the 30th anniversary of publication of the book it was based on, a new minisode of the TV series Good Omens has been released featuring the voices of Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and Crowley (David Tennant) as they adjust to life during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

The three-minute minisode, penned by Good Omens co-writer Neil Gaiman, focuses on Aziraphale calling Crowley to see how he's doing. The call consists of Crowley lamenting his boredom and saying that he's going to set his alarm clock for June (or July), while Aziraphale says he'll catch up on his reading. He also says that he took up baking, as there was a massive amount of cookbooks in his bookstore.

Perhaps the funniest part of the phone call concerns a group of burglars that broke into Aziraphale's bookstore. "Did you smite them with your wrath?" Crowley asks.

"Well I certainly gave them a good talking to, and I sent them home with cake."

Written by Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett, Good Omens centers on Aziraphale and Crowley's efforts to halt the End Times. The book gained critical acclaim, and last year's TV adaptation was likewise a hit. This new minisode manages to capture the spirit of both the book and show while serving as an entertaining way to educate people about how to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
