NORTHRIDGE, CALIFORNIA - Renowned Los Angeles comic book shop Golden Apple is selling their San Fernando Valley location to Sherman Oaks retailer Earth-2 Comics! The 25-year old shop, located at 8967 Reseda Blvd. in Northridge, California, will become the second Earth-2 Comics location.Golden Apple has been a fixture in Northridge for a quarter of a century, in addition to their 30 years in Hollywood. When asked about the sale, Golden Apple general manager, Ryan Liebowitz stated, "My family wants to focus on our flagship mega-store in Hollywood and grow the business to new heights. Earth-2's proprietors, Jud Meyers and Carr D'Angelo are friends, and we know that they will service our customers as well as we do."The transition is currently underway and the new Earth-2 comics store will be open for business on Wednesday (new comic book day), April 29th. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for later in May."Golden Apple holds the distinction of being not only the first comic-book store I ever went to when I was a boy, but also the first place I ever had a job." said Earth-2 co-owner Jud Meyers.
