Welcome to the latest edition of Golden Age Christmas, where we will feature a different Golden Age Christmas comic book story every day from now until Christmas Eve!

Today we look at a 1946 Superboy comic where the generosity of Smallville's spirit is on great display!

Adventure Comics #113 (written by Don Cameron and drawn by John Sikela and likely George Roussos) tells the tale of the 33rd Christmas, which is a reference to the 32 years the local high school janitor Nick Brown has secretly dressed up as Santa Claus to deliver presents to kids. However, in this, his 33rd year doing it, a terrible house fire destroyed his home, severely injured his wife and ruined all of the presents he had saved up all year for. He had to spend all of the money he saved for presents on an expensive surgery for his wife (that luckily DID save her life). Is this the end for Smallville's own Santa Claus?

Not if Superboy has anything to say about it!

Wow, what a touching story from the great Don Cameron.
