A new poster for Godzilla Vs Kong has debuted online, along with a new release date for the official trailer.The poster features Godzilla's massive spikes cutting through water, as the King of the Monsters swims through the water. The poster made its debut via Legendary's official Twitter account, where it was revealed that the trailer will be premiering on Sunday. Legendary had finally come to an accord with Warner Bros. after threatening legal action over the studio's decision to debut Godzilla vs Kong and other films on HBO Max as well as theaters. Legendary provided the funding for Godzilla Vs Kong, as well as Denis Villenueve's upcoming adaptation of Dune.

Godzilla vs Kong was originally slated to debut in 2020, though the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic pushed it back to 2021. Netflix originally sought to purchase the film for distribution, until Warner Bros. blocked them. The film has also moved up two months for a March premiere date.

Legends collide as Godzilla and Kong, the two most powerful forces of nature, clash on the big screen in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into fantastic uncharted terrain, unearthing clues to the Titans’ very origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

Directed by Adam Wingard and written by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein, Godzilla vs. Kong stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry. The film arrives in theaters and on HBO Max March 26.
