The epic smackdown between Titans in Godzilla vs. Kong is set to premiere in theaters and on HBO Max in March, with a new teaser trailer showcasing the two kaiju in battle.The clip begins with geologist Nathan Lind enlisting Kong to save the world from Godzilla, with the atomic lizard ramming an armada carrying the mighty primate. The fight then shifts to the streets of Hong Kong, as the two Titans duke it out between skyscrapers to see who truly is King of the Monsters.
While presenting a streamlined version of the debut theatrical trailer, there are snippets of additional footage in the teaser, including Kong barely able to hold on after Godzilla's initial attack capsizes his boat. Also included is a scene between Kong and a young girl who can communicate with him through sign language, begging her guardian to be careful in the coming fight.
Godzilla vs. Kong's initial trailer set a new record for Warner Bros., with over 25.6 million viewers across all platforms. The film will be available on HBO Max at no additional cost to subscribers for its first 31 days of release, with a simultaneous theatrical release.
Directed by Adam Wingard and written by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein, Godzilla vs. Kong stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry. The film arrives in theaters and on HBO Max March 31.
