A new clip from Godzilla vs. Kong hints at the destruction the two titans will leave in their wake.

The clip, released during IGN Fan Fest 2021, features military jets attacking Godzilla. The King of the Monsters' tail swings upward and destroys a jet, as he continues to charge forward toward Kong. Kong, who's chained aboard one of the carriers, struggles to free himself from his restraints.

The clip acts as a precursor to the two Titans' first throwdown, which will be a lengthy one according to composer Junkie XL. "I’m not going to say how this thing ends...And then so, this scene that was released today, was it on IGN? Forty seconds of footage? That scene is 18 minutes long and it's ridiculous," he said.

Godzilla vs. Kong will serve as the culmination of Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures' MonsterVerse, with the title characters slugging it out for supremacy. Director Adam Wingard has previously said that fans only witnessed a glimpse of what the film has in store, saying, "I know it looks like it shows a lot but this is only the tip of the monster iceberg." Other plot points include a rival organization to Monarch, which is constructing a machine/Titan hybrid from the remains of King Ghidorah.

Directed by Adam Wingard and written by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein, Godzilla vs. Kong stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry. The film arrives in theaters and on HBO Max on March 31.
