The upcoming monster brawl movie Godzilla vs. Kong has added Brian Tyree Henry in a lead role. Henry, who plays Paper Boi in FX's Atlanta, will have a significant role in the film, which also stars Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown and Deadpool 2's Julian Dennison.

Godzilla vs. Kong will be the fourth film in Legendary's MonsterVerse, which first began with 2014's Godzilla. The other half of the upcoming versus film, King Kong, made his titanic debut with 2017's Kong: Skull Island. The film ended with a post credit-tease hinting that the two monsters would come to blows and face off; next year's Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which stars Brown, will likely hint at that outcome as well. Both films are tied together via Monarch, the monster researching organization that debuted in Godzilla.

In the immediate future, Henry has a stacked holiday season ahead of him; he provides the voice of Miles Morales' father in the upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and will appear in both Widows and If Beale Street Could Talk.

Godzilla vs. Kong, directed by Adam Wingard, will release on May 22, 2020. Godzilla: King of the Monsters will release on May 31, 2019.
