Art Adams will provide the covers for the graphic novel prequels to Godzilla vs. Kong.
Legendary Comics unveiled the covers to Kingdom Kong and Godzilla Dominion on its social media channels, with artwork by Art Adams (Uncanny X-Men). Adams will also illustrate the cover for the Monsterverse Titanthology, which collects Skull Island: The Birth of Kong (2017) and Godzilla: Aftershock (2019) into one volume. Kingdom Kong and Godzilla Dominion feature their respective protagonists up close and personal, while the Titanthology has both Titans roaring in fury.
The graphic novels are part of a publishing initiative by Legendary, which will feature other novels and books that tie into the events of Godzilla vs. Kong. Dominion is written by Greg Keyes, who will also pen the official Godzilla vs. Kong novelization, and illustrated by Drew Edward Johnson. It takes place after Godzilla: King of the Monsters and is told entirely through Godzilla's point of view. Kingdom is written by Marie Anello and illustrated by ZID, and features Kong dueling the Titan known as Camazotz, who is awakened when a group of pilots visit Skull Island.
Kingdom Kong and Godzilla Dominion both go on sale on March 30th, and are currently available for pre-order. Monsterverse Titanthology, Vol. 1 will go on sale on May 11, 2021.
Directed by Adam Wingard and written by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein, Godzilla vs. Kong stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry. The film arrives in theaters and on HBO Max March 31.
