With principal photography expected to begin in less than a month, Legendary Entertainment has signed on Rebecca Hall to star in Godzilla vs. Kong.

The upcoming kaiju crossover film is expected to film from November through February 2019 in Atlanta, Australia, and Hawaii to meet its scheduled 2020 release date. Hall's role in the film is currently being kept under wraps at this time.

The eagerly anticipated film serves as sequel to both last year's Kong: Skull Island and next year's Godzilla: King of the Monsters, bringing the two titular monsters together for a devastatingly epic brawl. The shared universe connection between the two properties was officially revealed in the post-credits scene for Skull Island as the surviving characters were detained by the mysterious Monarch organization and briefed on the existence of Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah.

The project is helmed by Adam Wingard (Death Note) from a script written by Terry Rossio (Pirates of the Caribbean).
