Veteran actor Lance Reddick has signed on to the upcoming crossover monster film Godzilla vs. Kong in an undisclosed role.
The fan-favorite actor is perhaps best known for his roles as Charon in the John Wick films and as Baltimore police lieutenant Cedric Daniels on the acclaimed HBO series The Wire. Reddick will reprise his role as Charon in John Wick: Parabellum which is currently in the final stages of principal photography ahead of its scheduled release in May.
Godzilla vs. Kong began filming this week in Hawaii and Australia serving as a sequel to both last year's Kong: Skull Island and next year's Godzilla: King of the Monsters. True to its title, the film is expected to have its eponymous monsters clash with humanity caught in the crossfire.
The eagerly anticipated film is written by Terry Rossio (Pirates of the Caribbean) and directed by Adam Wingard (Death Note).
Godzilla vs. Kong, directed by Adam Wingard, will release on May 22, 2020. The film stars Kyle Chandler, Ziyi Zhang, Millie Bobby Brown, Danai Gurira, Bryan Tyree Henry, Demian Bichir, Alexander Skarsgard, Jessica Henwick, and Julian Dennison.
