Photos of a Godzilla vs. Kong action figure reveal the new look of a major kaiju that has all but been confirmed to appear in the film.

Kaiju News Outlet posted photos of a Mechagodzilla figure on Instagram that showcase the clearest image yet of the metallic monster. The toy is 11 inches tall and will be available at Walmart.

This is not the first merchandise featuring Mechagodzilla to leak before the film's arrival in theaters and on HBO Max on March 31. Images of sweatshirts also contained what appears to be a Mechagodzilla design, although the clothing items label the beast the "Ultimate Destroyer."

The current theory among fans, thanks to reporting by Collider after a set visit, is that the sinister Apex organization will use one of the severed heads of Ghidorah to build Mechagodzilla. Ghidorah was the primary antagonist in Godzilla: King of the Monsters and was killed by Godzilla. However, Apex was seen purchasing one of those heads at the end of the film, and Collider reported seeing one on the set of Godzilla vs. Kong "wired into a control station."

Godzilla vs. Kong is the fourth film in Legendary's MonsterVerse. Previous films include Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017) and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019). An animated series titled Skull Island set in the same universe will debut on Netflix in the near future.

Legends collide in "Godzilla vs. Kong" as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond. But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. The epic clash between the two titans -- instigated by unseen forces -- is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.

Directed by Adam Wingard and written by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein, Godzilla vs. Kong stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry. The film arrives in theaters and on HBO Max on March 31.
