While the new Godzilla: King of the Monsters trailer is set to drop Sunday, fans can sate their appetite in the meantime with a tease of Rodan from Legendary Entertainment's upcoming MonsterVerse.The pteranodon can be seen flying over a town in a new viral video, courtesy of Monarch's Twitter, a page run by the company in the film that's responsible for monitoring the kaiju a.k.a. the Titans on the planet. It's just a four-second clip but it's a haunting hint at the chaos to come, with Rodan also offering a bellowing roar of his own.RELATED: New Godzilla: King of the Monsters Trailer to Drop This Sunday
We can see flames on him, hinting that he may have just escaped the Isla de Mona volcano he inhabits, or that it could possible be a permanent fixture for when the creature takes flight, as evidence by the title he's designated: "The One Born of Fire."

Last week, fans got better images of Rodan, as well as the likes of Godzilla, Mothra and the three-headed dragon known as King Ghidorah. Monarch has been cleverly deploying its marketing campaign hinting at various sightings for the monsters, like the below post shows King Ghedorah barley visible in a hazy sky and offering possible insight as to how their paths will cross in the monster-brawl next year.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is directed by Michael Dougherty and stars Vera Farmiga, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance, OâShea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds, and Zhang Ziyi. It is scheduled to open in theaters on May 31, 2019.
