Kotaku notes that a stage actor provided a motion capture performance, on which CG was layered to give a unique take on iconic beast. Check out the video below to get your daily kaiju fix.

Directed by Hideki Anno ("Evangelion") and Shinji Higuchi (“Attack on Titan”) with artwork by Shinji Higuchi, "Godzilla Resurgence" retells the tale of the monster's first attack on Japan -- the third time such a reboot has taken place in the franchise. The last Western hemisphere outing, "Godzilla," was directed by Gareth Edwards in 2014, and a sequel to that film is slated for June 8, 2018.
