A pair of new posters have been released for Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which continue to build up hype for the brawl to come when Godzilla and King Ghidorah battle to see who's the true alpha out of Earth's Kaiju.
The official 3D poster focuses on Ghidorah, the three-headed dragon, towering over Godzilla at Capitol Hill with Monarch's fighter jets joining the fray. Here, we see Ghidorah holding quite an imposing size difference as it gears up to unleash its electric blasts against Godzilla, who's preparing to retaliate in return with his signature blue-hued atomic breath.
The IMAX poster sticks to the same essence, however, here Ghidorah is coming down from the skies while Godzilla is bracing for impact. Godzilla is once more prepping for a brutal fight as we can spot his atomic breath getting ready to explode too.
We can see falling objects on fire, indicating the military planes have been taken out by Ghidorah as it prepares to wage war on the ground with the titular Titan. Godzilla is back on Earth's defensive team following 2014's Godzilla, and will have to contend with other beasts such as Mothra and Rodan to see who will truly rule Legendary's MonsterVerse.
Directed by Michael Dougherty, Godzilla: King of the Monsters stars Vera Farmiga, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds and Zhang Ziyi. The film opens May 31.
