The footage released for Godzilla: King of the Monsters so far has featured a few menacing close-ups on Godzilla, King Ghidorah and Rodan, but not so much for Mothra. Now, in a short clip courtesy of the Monarch Sciences official Twitter account, a brand-new promo offers a full-view shot of the moth's face in all its majestic glory. The clip clocks in at just over 30 seconds and shows Monarch apparently struggling to contain the winged kaiju. At the 18-second mark, it zooms in on her face, revealing her big, blue eyes for a few moments.RELATED: Godzilla: King of the Monsters Posters Tease an Epic Monster Brawl

Plot details have been scarce, but it's been hinted Monarch -- the organization in charge of monitoring these Titans throughout the decades -- will have to unleash Mothra in order to help Godzilla take down the alpha Ghidorah.

The latest trailer already showed Mothra as friend as she attacks the three-headed dragon in mid-air, so this clip reinforces the notion Monarch may have mistakenly taken her to study, under the initial auspices she might have been a threat to mankind too.

Directed by Michael Dougherty, Godzilla: King of the Monsters stars Vera Farmiga, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds and Zhang Ziyi. The film opens May 31.
