A limited edition pair of Godzilla jeans have been re-released by Studio D'Artisan, one of the most famous denim companies in Osaka, Japan.

Made out of 18 ounce heavyweight denim, the jeans feature a patch showing the King of the Monsters as he originally appeared in his 1954 feature film debut, which was directed by Ishiro Honda. A Godzilla silhouette is embroidered on the inner pocket of the jeans, and the interior lining shows Godzilla standing by Osaka's cityscape, with the city's famous Osaka Tower nearby.

A Studio D'Artisan blog post describing the jeans said that their heavy denim had a "rugged feel reminiscent of Godzilla's skin," and celebrated how the giant monster had become an internationally recognized icon in the decades since his debut.

Studio D'Artisan's Godzilla jeans were originally released in 2020 before quickly selling out. The re-release, initially revealed this April, sold out just as quickly on the denim-maker's website, though limited quantities of the extra large sizes are currently still available for prices starting at 33,880 yen, or about $304 USD.
