Warner Bros. has delayed the release of Gareth Edwards' "Godzilla 2" from June 8, 2018 to March 22, 2019, avoiding a clash with Paramount Pictures' "Transformers 6."

However, there is some good news for fans of the King of the Monsters: The studio has staked out May 29, 2020 for the hotly anticipated "Godzilla vs. Kong."

The calendar shuffle also sees Warner Bros. date an untitled event film for Dec. 25, 2018, and move an untitled DC film -- it's widely thought to be "Green Lantern Corps" -- from June 19, 2020 to July 24, 2020.

That untitled event movie will arrive just four days after Sony's animated "Spider-Man," and face off against an untitled live-action Disney film. Neither "Godzilla vs. Kong" nor the DC film has any competition on its new release date ... yet.
