RUMOR: Godspeed Will Appear On Flash Season 5

An on-set report from The Flash claims that the villainous Godspeed will appear later this season.

As filming continues on the last episodes of Season 5 of The Flash, a new rumor claims a new villainous speedster will make an appearance.

A blogger from the set of the season's 18th episode, directed by cast member Danielle Panabaker, has allegedly gotten a peek at the shooting script, claiming that the title of the episode is "Godspeed."

Sharing the same name as the first Flash villain created for the DC Rebirth era by Joshua Williamson and Carmine Di Giandomenico, Godspeed was August Heart, a colleague of Barry Allen's with the Central City Police Department. Gaining powers from a Speed Force storm, Heart took on the persona Godspeed to kill those he deems criminals, especially fellow speedsters to gain their power, putting him on a collision course with the Flash.

Additionally, a fan scoop by YouTuber Pagey corroborates the on-set rumor and claims Godspeed will appear to kill a member of the Secret Six in the episode. With the episode being filmed scheduled to air on March 26, fans will only have to wait a month to see if the rumors are true.

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanaugh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet, Hartley Sawyer and Jessica Parker Kennedy.
