Disney recently acquired Fox and all its properties, which means the X-Men's arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is imminent. To celebrate, God of War concept artist Raf Grassetti revealed his own interpretation of what the MCU's Wolverine would look like next to Iron Man, Spider-Man and the Hulk.

Grassetti's art features the Clawed Canuck in his vintage brown costume, now with a modern MCU-esque twist. A slight modification from his original yellow and black costume, the suit -- originally designed by John Byrne -- saw popularity in many 80s and 90s X-Men books. Grassetti's version provides extra padding for more of an armored look. On his shoulders, a SHIELD logo is brandished. The artist also expressed excitement to draw more MCU-ized characters from the Fox deal, prompting his followers to answer with which heroes they most want to see on screen.

Grassetti is old hat when it comes to redesigning characters to fit the MCU's style. In November 2018, the God of War art director posted images of what an MCU Nova would like. In the Instagram post, he credited Marvel Studios' character designer and concept artist Ryan Meinerding as a primary influence for his art. Following the X-Men hype, Grassetti also posted his version of what the MCU's Omega Red would look like, declaring his excitement for the possibility of seeing the classic X-Men villain on screen.

The next installment in the MCU will be Avengers: Endgame. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau and Bradley Cooper, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Josh Brolin. The film arrives April 26.
