Well-known for his work on the popular God of War video game series, Raf Grassetti recently offered his take on several iconic X-Men characters.

Grassetti shared different costume designs for Nightcrawler/Kurt Wagner, Cyclops/Scott Summers and Colossus/Piotr Rasputin on his Instagram page. On all of the designs, Grassetti mentioned that he tried to offer a modern take on each of their classic looks.

More of these designs are sure to come, as Grassetti commented on his Nightcrawler piece, "This guy is for sure of my favorites, I’m going to do a female next, thoughts?" Additionally, Grassetti has done several other drawings of iconic characters, including Street Fighter's M Bison.

Grassetti serves as the art director for God of War, which released its latest game in April 2018. God of War has become such a popular video game franchise that has even spawned several comic book series and novels. There is also a live-action film adaptation that was announced back in 2005, but there has been no official updates on the project.

Both Nightcrawler and Colossus were introduced in 1975's Giant-Size X-Men #1, which also introduced several other popular X-Men characters such as Storm and Thunderbird. Meanwhile, Cyclops was part of the original X-Men team, who first appeared in 1963's The X-Men #1 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
