At this weekend's East Coast Black Age of Comics Con ‘09, the winners of the Glyph Awards (which honor the best in black comics and creators) were announced!
Jeremy Love's Bayou was the big winner of the night, taking home the Glyph Award for Best Artist, Best Writer, Best Female Character, Best Comic Strip and Story of the Year.
DC Comics cleaned up, as Bayou is part of DC's Zuda! online comic wing. They also won for Best Male Character (Black Lightning), Best Cover (Unknown Soldier #1) and the Fan Award for Best Comic (voted on by fans) for Vixen's recent mini-series.
