Glee creator Ryan Murphy and long-time 24 executive producer Howard Gordon are teaming together for a currently untitled television project about a psychiatrist who makes his patients face "their worst fears and phobias," Deadline reports.
Murphy and Gordon are co-writing and executive producing the project, which is currently in negotiations to land at the Fox network. They describe the series as "a high-concept character-driven procedural" about a psychiatrist, "the person people go to when everything else has failed," according to Gordon.
"We all are afraid of something, and fears keep us from living our lives," he added. The series will center on "broader mysteries" ala The X-Files, a show that Gordon was a writer and producer on. When asked about teaming up with the Glee creator, Gordon quipped that Fox executives have jokingly referred to the producer pair as "leather and lace."
