WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Episode 11 of Girlfriend, Girlfriend, "Hot Spring Tropes," now streaming on Crunchyroll.

Naoya's dream harem vacation is ruined in Episode 11 of Girlfriend, Girlfriend by Rika and, surprisingly, Shino, Saki's best friend. Upon their arrival at a hot springs hotel, their hopes of a relaxing vacation are dashed when they see Rika waiting for them at the entrance. She has followed them to the hotel in the hopes of spending more quality time with Naoya, even if it's against his will like the good tsundere she is.

A part of Naoya may have been prepared for Rika's ambush, but when Saki's best friend Shino approaches him as well, he's left a little confused. Shino wastes no time before directly confronting Naoya, in front of his girlfriends and Rika, about him two-timing Saki.

Naoya is able to quickly evade both Rika and Shino thanks to Nagisa's quick thinking at the end of Episode 10 when she covers for them. She lies to Shino, saying that she and Rika actually came to the hotel together, separate from Naoya and Saki. Yet somehow, Naoya finds himself in Rika's bath and under the full attention of his most recent admirer. While he does spend a dedicated allotment of time with Rika, he soon escapes by climbing the fence with the intent of finding Nagisa and Saki.

Unfortunately, Naoya slips on the roof and ends up in Shino's bath. Shino is barely hidden behind a towel, but she stands her ground and quickly jumps back to her earlier accusation -- that Naoya is two-timing Saki. Naoya struggles to respond to Shino, as he made a promise to Saki that he wouldn't tell anyone about their relationship with Nagisa. Even though he doesn't explicitly say so, Naoya insinuates that he is dating both Nagisa and Saki.

Shino confronts Naoya in Girlfriend, Girlfriend.

Even though both he and Shino are in compromising positions because of the hot springs bath, Shino doesn't back down about his two-timing her best friend. When Naoya makes a case for how much he cares about Saki and how he's willing to work things out for her, Shino combats that easily by bringing up all the real-world problems of dating two people. She touches on topics like marriage laws, surgery consent forms and other very real issues.

Naoya hasn't even thought about some of these very valid issues that Shino brings up, which makes her concern for Saki all the more real. At this point, Shino even suspects that Naoya is three-timing Saki due to Rika's presence at the hotel and her public confession to him at school. During a climactic moment, Saki and Nagisa stumble upon Naoya and Shino in a rather compromising position, and Shino gets to direct her confusion directly toward Saki.

Again, thanks to Nagisa's quick thinking, she snaps pictures of Shino so as to blackmail her into keeping their secret. Shino runs away from the threesome, but one thing's for sure -- she's definitely not done with Naoya and his dysfunctional harem.
